I made a thing on my face. It would be hideous had I not been born with so handsome a forehead which I use to move objects.

DC is being all gritty and “realistic” and

Marvel just had a movie where the galaxy is saved by a dance-off and the power of friendship

And neither one of them can imagine a world either gritty and realistic enough or fun and fantastic enough in which a woman or a person of color is the hero.

What? Have you been paying attention? Comics have been way ahead of the Movie industry in terms of putting not only minorities but also representing the disabled in their comics.

Listen, I feel ya (not that you asked), I also believe that there need to be more women and minorities represented in movies being bad ass and generally kicking ass. I will even give you that it’s only recently that minorities are represented in a fair way in comics. However To say that neither Marvel or DC has Imagined such a world is just not fair to the awesome people at both companies who are making huge in-roads to fix the very issues you are complaining about!

Now go BUY MORE COMICS to get them to make MORE AWESOME comics and stories. Eventually movies will hopefully catch up.

Fyi, absentlyabbie's blog seems pretty neat she certainly does know about Ms. Marvel and others. I just wanted to make the point that people are trying!

She Hulk what do you think I should do?

Okay fine.

Can we just admire how funky Janelle Monae is all the time?

Going to the sauna after exercise is a major ritual for me. Once I hit a rolling sweat, I melt into the Western Red Cedar, almost as if the weight of all responsibilities and burdens are scrubbed away on a cellular level.

But today got weird.

In a roughly 6x7ft sauna, things get a little tight…

I want to re-enact this.
