That’s a bit of an awkward title, I’ll grant you that. But this is important. Internet important.
Until around 3:30 today I had never heard of China Beach, in fact I don’t even know where I would have heard of it (save a couple of AV Club comments) but I made a stupid joke on twitter today and jimchuck replied with something amazing. I don’t even think he realized what he unleashed.
China Beach ran from 1988-1991 not bad by any stretch of the imagination, a good run for a television show, but I still had never heard of it so I did some googling.
My first stop of course was the wikipedia China Beach page okay that’s fine and all and has a lot of cool information on there.
Then there is this fansite, this fanhistory and finally the Amazon page the Amazon page has 180 comments (not just one liners either) with 5 star reviews!
It just amazes me that there is stuff out there that I would never know existed if not for my friends and the internet.
Also jimchuck is a nerd. (Just kidding)
